Activate JavaScript in Firefox Browser
JavaScript controls in Firefox are located in the Tools / Options menu.
(see Tools / Options screenshot image below)
Once you see the Options menu, click on the Content tab.
Tick the "Enable JavaScript" checkbox.
Next, click on the Advanced button to the right on the same line, and you'll
view other check boxes to control Firefox Advanced JavaScript setting values
that will only allow certain script functions to occur per your personal
preferences.
Check or uncheck the appropriate advanced JavaScript settings you want
allowed in the Firefox browser and then click the OK button on the "Advanced
JavaScript Settings" window box..
Click the OK button on the Options window..
Firefox browser has now been configured to allow JavaScript functionality to
occur within the setting values you designated.
Please note that some other programs also may attempt to control whether
JavaScript works or not. Personal security devices, firewall programs, etc. can
allow or prevent JavaScript execution by the browser as well.
Note that Java and JavaScript are not the same thing. Although they can both be
used within web page functions, the only common feature these 2 have with each
other is the shared four characters "J a v a".
On a final note, JavaScript is a scripting language. Each browser (Internet
Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, WebTV, etc.) have their own JavaScript
interpreter that take the JavaScript commands that are in a web page and
executes the functions accordingly.
