We're all great fans of Camtasia .... Camtasia allows you to make video presentations of your computer screen while your talking about a merchant product .... this effectively allows you to inform your visitors about specifics of a product that are hard to put into words. Videos allow you to easily describe and demonstrate features of a product, how to redeem coupons, how to use a service, etc.

We've used Camtasia for many of our video product presentations and it's a very nice product. (Although, we'd love to see a a Mac version released as well - but life goes on)

In our opinion, video presentations are an excellent way to provide a superior presentation that truly captures your visitor/prospects attention and makes a HUGE difference in sale conversion ratios. Most power-affiliate marketers will tell you, "If you don't have Camtasia, go purchase it NOW." Well, that is excellent advice ... however, there's a few negative drawbacks to this recommendation. It's a bit pricey at $300 licensing fee. But you don't need to pay $300. The earlier version of Camtasia, called "CamStudio," was released under GPL, which means you can download it for FREE.

Okay, your probably saying to yourself .... then why doesn't everybody just download the earlier version of CamStudio instead of paying $300 for Camtasia 3 version?

CamStudio would be fine for many marketers, however there are TWO very important flaws.

1. Output Flash videos DO NOT WORK in Firefox or Netscape browsers!
This is NOT cool for your marketing needs! If your wanting your visitors to be able to view your video presentations - no matter what type of browser they are using - this is not an optimum tool choice.

2. There was NO "redirect to URL" feature included after the video played it's presentation.
The CamStudio internet marketers version new built in feature will automatically redirect the viewer watching your videos to the URL of your choice when the movie ends. So you can now make videos demonstrating a product or service and redirect your viewer immediately to the URL to buy the product! (This greatly increases your conversion rates). But the old CamStudio didn't have this option.

THE ABOVE "ISSUES" HAVE BEEN CORRECTED BY MODIFICATIONS!

The original CamStudio has been edited under the GPL license ;) so that these two problems that were pre-existing are now FIXED. Output videos can now be viewed in Firefox & Netscape AND can be redirected to a custom URL upon the end of the clip!

This can also be used as a FANTASTIC way to build your opt-in subscriber list, etc.
